Fish
Before I begin to paint a fish, I head to the fish department of my grocery store. I take photos and often buy the whole fish. The eye fades quickly so the subject needs to be as fresh as possible. Most of my fish paintings are found in a restaurant called SoulFish in Memphis, Tennessee, where they have been enlarged to nine feet! Very dramatic!
